ప్రధాని మోడీ ఒడిశాలోని ఝార్సుగూడలో రూ. 60,000 కోట్లకు పైగా విలువైన అభివృద్ధి పనులను ప్రారంభించారు. భారతదేశం అంతటా 97,500 కి పైగా టెలికాం టవర్లు ప్రారంభించారు. టెలికమ్యూనికేషన్స్, రైల్వేలు, ఉన్నత విద్య, ఆరోగ్య సంరక్షణ, నైపుణ్య అభివృద్ధి, గ్రామీణ గృహనిర్మాణం వంటి రంగాల్లో విస్తరించి ఉన్న రూ.60,000 కోట్లకు పైగా విలువైన బహుళ అభివృద్ధి ప్రాజెక్టులకు ప్రధానమంత్రి నరేంద్ర మోడీ శంకుస్థాపన చేసి ప్రారంభోత్సవం చేశారు.

మొబైల్ 4G టవర్లు సరిహద్దు, వామపక్ష తీవ్రవాద ప్రభావిత ప్రాంతాలలోని 26,700 కంటే ఎక్కువ అనుసంధానం కాని గ్రామాలకు కూడా కనెక్షన్ లభించనుంది. రాబోయే నాలుగు సంవత్సరాలలో 10,000 మంది కొత్త విద్యార్థులకు సామర్థ్యాన్ని సృష్టించే ఎనిమిది ఐఐటీల విస్తరణకు కూడా ప్రధాని శంకుస్థాపన చేశారు. సాంకేతిక విద్య, నైపుణ్య అభివృద్ధిని బలోపేతం చేయడానికి ఒడిశా ప్రభుత్వం చేపట్టిన బహుళ కార్యక్రమాలను కూడా మోడీ ప్రారంభించారు.
